Skydiving is one of the greatest things you’ll ever do. Unfortunately, some people look at the cost of a tandem skydive and wonder if it’s worth the expense. Here, we’ll explain the reason behind skydiving costs and what you can expect to pay for your first experience skydiving Tennessee. Trust us, it’s worth the money.
How Much Does It Cost to Skydive in Tennessee?
Home of some of the world’s best known and loved country music stars, Tennessee is known across the globe for its great taste and distinctive style.
Here at Chattanooga Skydiving Company, located in the heart of Tennessee, we’re really proud of our southern roots and love looking out over the Tennessee landscape every time we jump.
You can do the same. Typically, first-time skydivers choose to make a tandem skydive. This means you’ll be strapped to one of our highly experienced instructors, who will be responsible for operating the parachute equipment. You can make a tandem skydive from $229.00, or look out for our special offers.
You can learn to skydive by completing a USPA accredited course with us for $2,061.00 (or less if you pre-pay), which includes 25 jumps to enable you to achieve your skydiving license.
If you’re an experienced skydiver, you can jump with us for $24 for a fun jump. We also offer bulk buy deals.
What Does the Skydiving Cost Include?
The skydiving price includes everything you’ll need to get you in the air. If you’re learning to skydive by yourself, you’ll get all of the training you need to do so, plus equipment hire.
As a tandem skydiver, your price includes:
- A full pre-jump brief
- Use of our helmets, goggles, gloves and jumpsuits (if needed)
- A skydive with one of our highly experienced instructors
- Approximately one minute of freefall from 14,000 feet
- A peaceful 5-7 minute canopy descent from 5,500 feet
- A first jump certificate, logbook and discount coupons
What Else Is Included?
Of course, your skydiving cost includes much more than described above.
There are many factors that go into making your skydive the incredible experience it is. Our aircraft, for example, are some of the best available. They require regular maintenance to ensure they’re fit for purpose.
Our instructors are highly experienced and have undertaken extensive training to learn their craft. We also jump with high-quality equipment, including our parachutes, parachute containers and safety devices such as our automatic activation devices that negate the risk for us as much as possible.
What If I Find A Cheaper Skydive Elsewhere?
We won’t pretend there aren’t cheaper skydives out there. There are agencies and other skydiving centers that offer cheaper jumps.
The important thing to note is that you get what you pay for. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Usually, low price operators are rough around the edges. They tend to pay their instructors less, which isn’t great for morale and may not be USPA accredited.
If you’re looking to make a skydive, whether it’s a once in a lifetime experience or the start of a new hobby, it’s important to jump at a center you like and trust.
